Best Buy Employee Receives Grant Award for First Step
Phil Kutz, a longtime friend of First Step, has been awarded with a Tag Team Grant from the Best Buy Children's Foundation on behalf of First Step. The grant was applied for in relation to Soul Shine, First Step's major fundraiser, and prior to the festival. Kutz has been a longtime friend of First Step and Soul Shine. Any who have tasted Soul Shine's red beans and rice partly have Phil to thank. The grant was awarded in support of Soul Shine and First Step and comes in addition to Best Buy's donation of a flat screen TV for Soul Shine's annual raffle. The grant will go to fund First Step programs and services provided for victims of relationship violence in Seneca, Sandusky, Wood, and Wyandot county. This award shows the difference that just one person can make in eradicating the problem of domestic violence from our community. You also can make a difference for First Step clients by helping fund our programs and services. Does your company or employer have a foundation, grant, or donation program? If so, please consider applying on First Step's behalf. Your generous contributions go a long way in helping us provide relevant and effective services to our clients.
