First Step Receives Car Donation
The city of Fostoria and Reineke Ford, working in conjunction, have donated a vehicle to First Step to be used for the agency’s programs and services. Mayor John Davoli of Fostoria said that through his active involvement with the agency he became aware of the need for a new vehicle for client transportation. “First Step is such a great organization and when I became aware of these discretionary monies and the need at First Step it was a great match.” The car that has been bought is a 2006 Ford Focus SE Wagon. Its primary use will be for client transports. In addition to the CDBG money given by the city of Fostoria, Reineke Ford also donated $3000 towards the price of the car. On February 8, Mayor Davoli as well as representatives from Reineke Ford presented the car to First Step at the agency. Says Mayor Davoli, “First Step does such good work, we are pleased to be able to help them in this way.” |
