On a cold, blustery day in November, a brown and gray cat showed up on the doorstep of First Step and joined our family. Because she is so soft and warm and valuable to us, we named her Cashmere. She is the friendliest kitty we've ever met and ready to give a welcome cuddle to all of our clients.

Cashmere has been a comfort to the many women and children who have come into residence as well as those visiting for counseling sessions, Passages classes, and other First Step services. A friendly,furry face with a purr for everyone she meets, we're all happy to add Cashmere to our agency!
